Sweden, June '03. This ad was all over Stockholm ... and the guy with the hat looks exactly like my friend Magnus. So much so that him, his family, his girlfriend, and anyone connected to him, received a phone call asking about Magnus' involvement in this advertisement. The ad's for a phone company. They depicted children doing the responsible thing and assuring their parents they were being good while away from home. One had a son telling his mother that he was eating enough fruit, however, he was only drinking cocktails from hollowed out fruits. I am not certain if he had eaten all of the part of the fruit that was emptied out. However, judging from the tone of the advertisement, I am led to believe that he was in fact, lying to his mother. Another showed a young, attractive girl beside a pool in a bikini assuring her mother that she was using sunscreen. Indeed she was. A fit, swarthy man was applying it for her. In this ad here, the son on the phone is telling his mother that he is wearing his hat. Perhaps she was worried that he would be getting too much sun, particularly on his face. I am sure that she would be surprised to find out that a hat was all he was wearing, and that he was associating with several others with even less on. All of Magnus' friends were quick to point out that he had plenty of "bush" showing.
